Paranormal Activity 4 Coming This Fall

Paranormal Activity was a box office destroyer, and major inducer of fear across the globe. However, the ending left audiences confused, shocked, and angry. As if it wasnt obvious after those final moments of the film, another Paranormal Activity movie was coming. The wait for the new film wont be long apparently, as it is set to be released on October 19th of this year. Because this is the fourth installment of the franchise, many fans are starting to wonder if its just become a cash cow for the producers, but producer Oren Peli insists that they would never make a sequel just for the sake of making another one, and they have big plans for this movie. There is little known about the installment, and this may not even be the last one. I guess we'll have to wait longer for that information, but they specifically guarantee that Kierra Shumway will be absolutely horrified, along with the rest of the worlds population. I cant wait to pee my pants like a little girl, and love every second of it.

Greeces' Future In Jeopardy...Again

Greece hasn't had the best economy lately. Actually, in Europe, it's been at the bottom for quite some time now. With hyperinflation, riots, and a lack of food, medicine, and oil, Greece is headed for complete disaster. Greece may have to leave the Euro currency and return to its old form, the drachma. It is seen that three things could happen: Greece could voluntarily leave, Euronations could eject them, or it could happen on accident, due to the failing banks that they depend so desperately upon. The first option wouldn't be too bad. Greece would refuse to pay its debts, essentialy sending its debt back down to zero. Sounds pretty great, huh? However Greece would stop receiving bailout funds, and the government would eventually run out of funds to pay what little workers they have, which will eventually result in civil riots or even war. If they were to get kicked out, they would lose funds and still have to pay debt, so that option is out. If they are forced to use the drachma, they would have to issue them practically over night, and have to close off borders to stop travelers to make sure they had the correct currency. Not only would the drachma plummet drastically in value, but import prices would soar up, causing Greece to have to print more money, which in turn would cause possibly the worst case of inflation in history. Annie K better pray for her nation, because their in a sticky sitch as of right now.

Avengers Assemble The Cash in Record Smashing Speed

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2 raked in 169.2 million dollars during its   debut. This was an astonishing feat, and set very high standards. This weekend record was eaten, spit up, and swept under the rug by Joss Whedons' "The Avengers". The Marvel superhero mix up earned 200.3 million in its United States debut. The film, which I personally loved, opened a week earlier in Europe, so its one week earnings was just over 641 million. the film cost 220 million to make, so I think 421 million dollars of profit in a week is a little impressive. Not only has it been sucessful with audiences, but critics love it. the film recieved only positive reviews, and has even cracked the top 250 on IMDB. Not only did it make the cut, it made the top 25. The star studded cast, the fantastic plot, and  the previous film build ups and tie ins made for this to be a comic book lovers dream.

Junior Seau Death May Not Be Coincidence o.O

On wednesday, former NFL star Junior Seau put a bullet into his chest and died. The 12 time pro-bowl attending linebacker was only 43. Not only is this an extremly saddening piece of news, but it also seems to be a strange trend. Ever since the San Diego Chargers appeared in the super bowl in 1994, players from that team seem to dying rather frequently. Seau is now the eighth member to pass away, all of which have been under the age of 45. In 2011, defensive tackle Shawn Lee died of cardiac arrest, and linebacker Lew Bush died of a heart attack. Three years prior to that, center Curtis Whitley and defensive end Chris Mims were also found dead. The supossed "curse" began five months after the super bowl when linebacker David Griggs, drunk, drove his speeding car off of an expressway. Griggs was just 28. Not even a year later, and Rodney Culver, 26 year old running back died in a plane crash, and in 1998, lightning struck linebacker Doug Miller, who was also 28. With a list like that, it becomes a pretty spooky coincidence that isn't to be taken lightly.

Metta World Peace Not Very Peaceful

Metta World Peace, formerly known as Ron Artest, was suspended for elbowing Thunder guard James Harden after an intense dunk. World Peace has been penalized for 7 games for the incident, but many people believe this isn't enough. Personally I believe he should have been suspended until the the first round of the playoffs was over, and fined. The reason the punishment wasnt heftier was because the attack couldnt be proved as intentional. It seemed as though he felt contact from Harden, not knowing who it was, and attempted to get them off. Artest had been suspended nine times before, totaling 102 games missed. It's easy to see why he decided to change his name, but it doesnt seem like he's changed that much at all. Hopefully this isn't the last ridiculous thing I get to see Mr. World Peace do, and I can't wait for him to be back and potentially change the course of the playoffs. This is Marshall "Dope Swag" Davis signing off, and I hope you enjoyed this telecast.

Ted Nugent Declares War On Obama

Ted Nugent is declaring war on President Obama. At an NRA convention he voiced some very strong opinions on this upcoming election. The former rock star claimed that the government was "wiping its ass with the constitution", and suggests he would rather be buried six feet deep, than bare through another 4 years of his rule. "If Barack Obama becomes the President in November again, I will either be dead or in jail by this time next year,". Ted Nugent everyone to get as many people as possible to vote for Republican canidate Mitt Romney. These statements are some of more sane things he said, as he goes on to say "If you can't galvanize and promote and recruit people to vote for Mitt Romney, we're done. We need to ride into that battlefield and chop their heads off in November. Any questions?" Nugent officialy endorsed Romney on Twitter last month, but this is not his first rant against President Obama. "Obama's a piece of sh—, and I told him to suck on my machine gun.", which was followed up by calling Hilary Clinton a "worthless bit—". We'll see what the 70's rocker has to say in the coming months during election time.

Betty White Joins Twitter

Betty White, a woman who believes strongly in doing things because all the kids are doing it, has joined Twitter. "Hello Twitter!, And they said it would never happen. Oh wait, that was me.", read her first tweet. Twitter has grown into one of the most popular websites ever, having over 140 million active users, and 340 million tweets generated every day. Thousands of other celebrities are currently using the site, such as Al Gore, Lady Gaga, and Vince Carter. To help make her present felt on Twitter, White proceeded to flirt with American hero Ryan Seacrest. "Hey @RyanSeacrest -- my new show airs tomorrow and I hear we're in the same time slot. I've always dreamed of sharing a night with you..." Classic Betty White. This seemed to have sparked some added hype to an already suprising day, because her number of followers grew to over 135,000 in less than 24 hours. Many stars use their pages as mostly promotion for shows and movies that they do, but hopefully we get a lot more witty comments like these in days to come. If your on the greatest social networking site out there, Twitter, then be sure to follow @BettyMWhite, and stay tuned on my page, @MarshallD96 to find out what i'll be having for dinner. I hope its meatloaf.

Britney Griner has seen her popularity sky rocket this past season, and it can all be credited to her new found personality.

Aren't We All Gorillas?

We all know that monkeys are the closest things to humans that aren't humans. Chimpanzees are the closest, but we now know that gorillas come in a close second. For the first time in history, scientists have successfully sequenced the gorilla genome. This was accomplished, not by a large corporation, but by a nonprofit research center in Britain. They discovered that 30 percent of the gorilla genome is closer to humans and chimps than those two are to each other. This revelation came as a surprise because humans diverged from chimps more recently than they did from gorillas, 6 million years more recently actually. The only way this was explainable was that even after species began to change, they still continued to mate together. Gorillas also have a gene called LOXHD1, which has long been associated with speech. "We know gorillas don't talk to each other", says super-genius Aylwyn Scally. "If they do they're managing to keep it secret."

Straight Cash Homie

He doesn't shine shoes, he doesn't tape ankles, he doesn't cut checks, but he loves to play football. Former NFL star Randy Moss has made plans to return to the league simply for the love of the game. "I just wanna go to a team and play some football. Faith, family, and football, that's my M.O., bro. Your boy be back for the upcoming season." It seems fairly clear that this man still has a love for the game, and hopefully, still has the talent. Its only been a year since his retirement, but at the age of 35, and only 28 catches the previous year, teams may be skeptical to add him to their roster. Moss announced his decision over Ustream.tv, which caught many people off guard, including his agent. The live stream was interrupted when Moss recieved a call from his repesentative. With such a large piece of news, you would wonder why Randy Moss decided to announce to about 500 people only. Moss addressed this by simply saying he didnt want to make a "big splash". We'll see where this goes during the rest of the off-season.

Its A Valentines Day Miracle!

A bill to legalize gay marriage in Washington won final legislative approval on Wednesday. This makes Washington the seventh state to recognize same-sex marriage. The vote by the House of Representatives was won 55 to 43. The bill was endorsed by many companies based in the area such as Microsoft, Amazon and Starbucks. Although this bill has been approved, the bill must still be signed, which will happen before Tuesday, and even still, the measure will not take effect before June 7. The approval of this bill came only a day after a marriage ban in California was declared unconstitutional . As tolerance seems to grow and laws begin to pass, it seems America is heading for a more understanding outlook on love.

Knicks Ticket Prices Are The Highest, But Is It Worth It?

The New York Knicks are the number one team in the NBA..when it comes to ticket pricing. The average Knicks ticket costs $117.47, which is double the league average, and 5 times the price of Memphis Grizzlies tickets! This average cost isn't even taking into account the premium seats! Is that amount of money really worth watching a team that doesn't produce high quality basketball? New York hasn't won a playoff game in 10 years, hasn't won a championship in 29 years, and isn't off to a very good start this season. They have started the year at just 8 wins and 13 losses, but their record does not do justice to the lack of fundamental basketball they have played, and the amount of ambition they've shown. This franchise is in need of a major turn around, and soon, before fans start to give up on their team.

Lions may be kings, but this new Tiger is the Prince of the Jungle

After a nice playoff run with the Milwaukee Brewers last season, Prince Fielder decided he would not be re-signing with them. After months of speculation as to where he would end up, a deal has finally be reached. The Detroit Tigers have signed Fielder to a nine-year, $214 million deal. Princes' reasoning for not returning to Milwaukee was simple: Money. His agent, Scott Boras said at the end of the season that Princes' new contract would be at least $200 million, which immediatley turned the small market team away. This new deal makes Fielder the 4th highest paid player in the MLB today. Prince Fielder will be missed by teammates and fans alike.
